Description: |
The meeting will start with a Community Wildfire Planning Workshop led by the Yolo County Fire Safe Council (YCFSC) and the Yolo County Office of Emergency Services (YCOES) as part of the creation of the first Yolo County Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP). Your input is needed to help identify the community's needs and identify potential projects relative to hazardous fuels reduction work, defensible space projects, and community wildfire education. Please see attached flyer for more information. This part of the meeting is sponsored by the Capay Valley Emergency Response Auxiliary and Fire Safe Council (CVERA). In preparation for the meeting, please review the information at this CWPP website, and think about potential projects to help prepare our community for the next fires: https://yolo-wildfire-1-ycrcd3.hub.arcgis.com/
The second part of the meeting will be led by PG&E. Currently, all of the PG&E staff that would normally participate are involved with the numerous fires in California. It is their hope to have someone available to speak at THIS meeting and answer YOUR questions. If no one is available 8/11, they will reschedule for a later date. In preparation for the PG&E part of the meeting, we suggest you attend the live interactive webinar scheduled for tomorrow afternoon, AUGUST 3RD, at 5:30pm. This part of the meeting is sponsored by Capay Valley Vision.
